2nd Edition of Public Health World Conference (PHWC) 2026

Scientific Sessions

Medication Safety and Access

The focus of this session will be on using medicines safely and on improving fair, equitable access to necessary drugs for everyone who needs them. The session will cover topics such as medication error reporting, drug safety surveillance, rational drug use, and policies to promote affordable, accessible health care.

The session's participants include experts who will provide information to promote the development of stronger pharmaceutical systems, enhance patient safety, and improve reasonable practices around the use of medication. Progressive physicians and public health professionals worldwide will be presenting their views on early intervention and preventive strategies that actually save lives at the Preventive Medicine Conference. The session will also address the importance of pharmacovigilance, educating healthcare professionals, and providing patients with the education they need to prevent medication-related injuries and improve global health outcomes.

This session will focus on how regulatory frameworks, quality assurance systems and supply chain management help ensure the safe and reliable delivery of medicines; the ways in which digital technology and data analytics can be utilized to provide ongoing monitoring of drug safety as well as support improved prescribing practices; examples of global initiatives to enhance access to essential medicines in under-resourced communities will be shared by participants; and finally, there will be an opportunity for collaboration between government, healthcare professionals and the pharmaceutical industry around improved medication safety practices. Central to this session will be the support for the global development of effective, transparent and patient-centered pharmaceutical care through the exchange of knowledge and promotion of innovation.

The Public Health Conference brings together researchers, clinicians and policy makers around the globe to develop evidence-based healthcare and community health interventions around the world.

Accessibility and medication safety are two important parameters that need to be top priority in public health. Most of the population consume medicine on daily medicine and errors in administration may lead to severe consequences. Standard protocols should be managed including proper storage, labelling and administration dosage, this helps to mitigate the risk. Affordability is also an important parameter that ensures access to every individual.  While improving the medication safety standards a collaboration between pharmaceutical companies and healthcare providers ensures improving quality of life.
